MAD LIB SONGWRITING WORKSHOP

SUMMARY:
I will highlight each field the firsrt time it appears in the song.

Each person gets to pick a field.
The melody could also be changed by having people pick a voice
like:
computer voice: monotone
Reversing the melody for a musical phrase.
Putting the tune to the tune of a scale.
Each person might get to sing a single line any way they want to.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:
I led a songwriting workshop at Music Works Northwest's
musical exploratory camp in June 2005.

I had a bunch of six to twelve year olds do a brainstorm
on outer space, the theme for the week. And then I put a few
of their ideas to the tune of Old Mcdonald.
I only got one and a half verses out of it:

RESULT:

Old McAlien
McAlien had a spaceship, (Old Mcdonald had a farm) And it was fueled by Goo. (E-i-e-i-o) But teenagers stole his space ship (And on that farom he had.....), Because it had a pool. (E-i-e-i-o) They took his ship through a worm hole, up to the planet Oo. McAlien had a nice dog and his name was blue, He controlled the blaster weapons and the steering buttons too.
