MY ROOTS

	I've been playing music since 1975. When I was ten years old I started taking piano lessons. 
I took up the trombone in 4th grade and performed in the Sand Creek Jr. High School Concert Band 
and later the Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons High School Dance and Marching Bands.

SONGWRITING

	In 1994 I took up songwriting and taught myself to play guitar. I hit the open mic scene 
and have been performing as a singer-songwriter ever since. I took on performing full time in 2002 by becoming a street performer. 
The instruments I earn a living playing also include harmonica, mandolin and trumpet.
	I've written over 100 songs in a variety of styles and on a variety of topics. 
	My songs are often requested. The most popular are 
The Tofu Serenade, I Ride My Bicycle, Sarah is Beautiful and I'm a Righteous Dumpster Diver Dude
	I also play requests of classic songs.

RECORDING

	I released my first compact disc "Emotions" in February 2000. It features 13 original
songs. I have recorded two tunes for a second album.

EXPERIENCE

	Locally I've performed at The Ballard Firehouse, Caffe Bella, Central Market in Shoreline, 
the El Diablo Coffee Company, Fircrest School,The Hopvine Pub, Lottie Motts Café, The Mount Vernon Farmers' Market, The Peace Café, The Penny Café, Puyallup Farmers' Market, 
Second Avenue Pizza, the Tacoma Farmers' Market the West Seattle Farmer's Market 
and the February Green Party of Seattle meeting.
 I've also sung at many Seattle open-mics including the following venues: The Art Bar,
Aurifice Café, The Black Lab Gallery, The Blue Moon Tavern,  The Coffee Messiah, Conor
Byrnes Irish Pub, The Crossroads Mall, The Dubliner Irish Pub, The Fiddlers Inn, The
Globe Restaurant, The Honey Bear café, The Hopvine Pub, Lottie Motts Café, Mr. Spots Chai House, The Old
Town Alehouse, The Raindancer Restaurant and Grill, Still Life Coffeehouse, The Ugly
Mug Coffee House and Wits End Bookstore. I also appeared on Q13 (KCPQ) News on September 27, 2004 at 10 PM. 
	I have been a regular musician at the Pike Place Public Market since January 2001
and served as the Pike Market Performers' Guilds treasurer for the 2004 and 2005 calendar years.
	Other places you might find me busking are Seattle Center, Pacific Place and the Metro
Bus Tunnels.   
	In Ithaca, New York I performed at The ABC Café, Acadia Restaurant, 
Autumn Leaves Used Books, Key West Bar, Moosewood Restaurant, 
Talking Heads Beauty Salon and Tammany's Coffeehouse. At 
Cornell University I played at The Big Red Barn and Noyes 
Center at the Cornell University campus. 
	Festival Performances include the 1997 & 1998 Ithaca Festivals. 
The 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005 Pike Place Market Buskers' Festival. The 
1999 and 2000 Ithaca Earth Day Festival and GreenStar Co-op's 
20th Anniversary Celebration in 1995. 
	I have performed at benefits for Ithaca Hours
 and the Northwest Animal Rights Network.
